Ancestry Saturday: 11 of 64

Recently, I pondered seeing the gravestones of fifth great grandparents, a task that gets harder with every passing year.  This week, it's fourth great grandparents.

My latest research finds among fourth great grandparents came in Highland County, Ohio.  Included among them was Dr. Charles Conway who set up his medical practice in New Lexington in Highland County in 1818.  He's buried in a Burnett Cemetery, a cemetery time almost forgot off of St. Rt. 28 east of New Vienna, Ohio.

The most anyone can have is 64 fourth great grandparents.  I've found, by name, 48 of them.  That's 75%.

My count shows I've personally seen gravestones for 11 of those and various sources make eight more of  them available in digital form.  That's not bad considering the oldest never lived past 1891 and the generation was born as early as 1750.

Back to Dr. Conway.  He died pretty young, at age 30, but lived long enough to have a daughter, who had a daughter, who had a daughter, who had a son, who had a daughter, who had  a son--me.
