Above is a re-typed article from the January 2, 1818 edition of the Crawford Messenger.
My fourth great grandfather, James Ebeneezer Smith, had to take out a newspaper ad to ensure my fourth great grandmother, Ruth Ann (Pigott) Smith didn't spend too much.
Hmmmm.
